So, as I have described in previous post, this year we are redecorating our house. Last year we worked on the Living room, and we are so pleased with the results. This year, we have both of our daughters rooms, to tackle and some changes to the kitchen and bathroom needed too.
I’m really torn at the moment, with my eldest daughters room, as I know that blackout blinds would be the sensible choice for her, but we really love the look of Wooden Venetian blinds by Blinds 2 Go. She is growing up so fast too, so a more grown up look would perhaps be more appropriate. She currently has a white blackout blind, but its a huge window, and the blind is starting to look a little creased. I think it would make more sense to go with the Venetian option, as this would be stronger, and more able to cope with the width of the window.
We are also considering buying her a new bed, the bed she currently has, has been fantastic and handy, as it has a guest bed neatly tucked underneath it. But this means that she can’t have any under-bed storage, which with the level of clutter in her room, she really needs. Its also so bulky looking, and quite masculine.
Last night we actually spent a couple of hours moving all of the furniture round, it was incredibly stressful, and have virtually put the room back to how it was originally, much to Miss A’s annoyance. I think one of the downsides of living in a relatively new house, is the bedrooms are quite small, so there are not many options of where furniture can go. We are actually inclined to move the very large radiator, to be able to reconfigure the room, but we will need to find out the pricing of that…eek!
So its back to the drawing board, it looks like our quick revamp is not going to happen. The list now includes, redecorating, moving the radiator, new carpets, bedding and possibly a new bed and blind. Tall Dad, where’s the credit card? We will get there though, I’m sure!
