A Virtual Shop with Collins!

If there is one thing I love doing, its internet window shopping.  Anyone else, love finding new sites that you don’t know, and filling up your virtual shopping basket?

Well I’ve just had a relaxing hour, looking at the Collins.ca site, choosing my favourite items.  So I thought I would share them with you. I had in my mind the theme of a weekend away in the sun, with Tall Dad of course.  I’m thinking a two-day trip to Bologna, Italy.  Enjoying some sightseeing, good food, and a little shopping.

So here is what I picked:

Simons
I love prints in the summer, but find them hard to wear, so how about these Toms (shoes) with printed pansies on them.  A great way of adding bright printed fabric into your wardrobe for print shy people like me.  They are perfect for warm days or nights I think.  I also love the stretch denim leggings, seen in the centre of my mood board.  I’m thinking they would be great for travelling, with a white t-shirt and coloured stretch Jacket.  Keeping the look smart but comfortable.   The orange suede holdall, looks so tactile and a fab pop of colour. It’s a great useful size, the perfect weekend away luggage.
Next up, the evenings.  Because in this virtual shop, it’s going to be gloriously sunny, I’m thinking little cool dresses worn with flats.

 I love the injection of colour that these dresses give, but because they are a similar colour, you could save on the packing using the same accessories.  Maybe metallic gold ones?  Also both would look great with a tan, you can see I’ve really put some thought into this! 😉
Of course with the sun, comes sunglasses. The classic aviator style, never goes out of fashion, and look good on everyone.  I’ve just bought some actually I’m just waiting for the sunshine so I can wear them.

Finally, because I am an extremely kind, selfless virtual shopper, I thought I would include a printed cotton shirt for Tall Dad- my husband.  I nearly bought something similar the other day and couldn’t decide if he would wear it or not. Well this looks like the perfect occasion to wear something like this, with some linen trouser, or cargo shorts, keeping it casual, and relaxed.

So I’ve got the wardrobe, I just need to convince Tall Dad to book, Oh… maybe I could virtually shop for a hotel and flights?

  1. Haha love this – you’re in your own little dream world. I bet you know what you’d order for lunch too in a chic little pavement cafe or bistro over a long couple of hours and a bottle of wine.
