Living Room Furniture : Storage Solutions

When I think of my living room, I think of it as a place I chill out in, a place that the children play and we all watch TV and movies in and listen to music. My office is in the living room too, so it really needs to be a multi functional room. With this in mind, I thought I would write a post that had some ideas for other people, like myself, who needs their living room to work in lots of ways.

I don’t think I am alone in also wanting in the evening, to tidy everything away, ready to relax for the evening.  A living room, I think needs to have the correct storage in, as it can very quickly and easily look cluttered.   I would like to introduce you to a piece of furniture from three different companies, that offer lots of fantastic living room furniture, including some great storage solutions.  All of these companies specialise in wooden furniture.  Wooden furniture which I think work well also in a busy household and the designs offer durability, style and flexibility.

 

First up is Verty, which sells, 100% solid wood, and pride themselves on their customer service.

I choose this sideboard piece to showcase the living room storage ideas on the Verty Furniture website.  I love the clean lines, and that everything can easily be hidden away. It would blend very well, into lots of different styles of living room. Just add a vase of flowers, and some oversized candle sticks, and it would look great. It would give you great flexibility for storage too with both drawers and cupboard space.  I’m thinking toys or paperwork, even magazines.

Next up is Satara.  This is really lovely family run business, Satara is based in the South West of England, specialising in high quality Indian furniture and accessories. Satara Furniture have lots of different examples of living room storage that I could have shown you, but I thought this blanket box, was a great example of a piece of furniture having a dual purpose. Blanket boxes, are a great idea in the living room, as you can not only use them to quickly fill all of the clutter of the day, but once filled, work as extra seating too, perfect!

Finally Willoby’s Furniture.  Willoby’s is a family furniture company with a passion for great furniture at great prices.  They only sell furniture that they would want in their own homes, furniture that is well made and well designed.   I really love this wall mounted CD rack, what a great storage item! I’m thinking you wouldn’t need to fill it just with CD’s but you could put some decorative items in too, to break it up.  You could buy two or three, and I think they would make a great wall feature too.  I really enjoyed looking around the Willoby’s site, they have some really lovely furniture ideas, especially the living room section, and at very affordable prices.
