I love string lights, and I have always had a set in my living room, but unfortunately they broke recently. So I jumped at the chance to review a set with Cable & Cotton. I first saw Cable & Cotton’s products, whilst on a break in Dorset and fell in love with the beautiful intricate thread lights. I love the big lamps that they also do, as large as 18 inches wide, they are very cool.
They arrive as pictured below, as you need to string them yourself. Please don’t let that put you off though, as it is so simple to do, with clear instruction included in the box. It took Miss A (4) and I less than 5 minutes to string them. Miss A was in charge of the sequence of colours, and I think she did the job brilliantly.
There are many different preselected variations of colours to go for, I went for cinnamon which is perfect for my living room. However, you can even go for a pic and mix option, to really match your decor. There is an online tool on the site, that you can use so you know exactly how the colour combo’s will look. They also come in different sizes 20, 35 or 50 lights.
The cable that connects the lamps to the electricity, was surprisingly long too, so gave me lots of options to where I was going to place the lights. In the end, I went for around my favourite canvas of Miss N and I, taken on the way to a girly day together.
