There was a flurry of excitement that filled the house when I opened this package from Memo etc, a fantastic website selling over 10,000 + office supply products. It has an extremely large range in recycled and ‘green products’ to offer, and pledges to help raise money for charities nationwide. For every 5 Star office product sold, a proportion of the profit will be donated to the charitable trust. The trust will then make an annual donation across nominated local community charities, what a great initiative.
I was sent a box of recycled stationery including products from the remarkable range, which I have written about on the blog before. They are all fantastic, and brilliant quality, and it really is surprising what they make from things such as rubbish, corn on the cob and CD cases!
So what was I sent from the range:

It feel like it will really last as its so tough, but that’s what you would expect from something made from a tyre I suppose. I know, how crazy is a pencil-case made from a tyre, but it really works! Yes it’s perhaps costs a little more that a standard pencil-case, but it is so cool. Any child would love to take this into school with them. Though I may snaffle this one for myself! As a side note, it smells amazing too.
Notepad : Remarkable (£8.00) rrp £12.12
I have only one shown in the photograph, but they come as a pack of 5, which is amazing value I think at £8.00. They cover is made from 70% recycled leather in the UK, and is wire bound from the side. Red being the girls’ school colours, I am going to let them have one in each of their school bags. They are so tough, I’m sure they will last the year.
Mini Coloured Pencils (1.40) rrp £1.51
These are made in the UK from recycled CD cases, how cool is that! I do love that with the branding with remarkable products, you know instantly that it is a ‘remarkable’ product, and what it is made from. These are definitely going to be Miss A’s.
15cm Ruler: Remarkable (£2.88) rrp£3.11
I can’t believe that this 5 pack of rulers are made from corn on the cob, well actually from the biodegradable corn starch from corn. They are again made in the UK by the remarkable brand.
Assorted Pens : Remarkable (£4.50) £6.32
Also made from biodegradable corn starch, you receive two each of all of the colours, they work brilliantly too.
So overall, if you pop onto the Memo etc website, you will see this recycled stationery and many other brands. They offer free next day deliver, and great value for money, go check them out.

I have stationery envy! The products look great, and I love the ethos of the company, but I am not sure about their pricing of that pencil case. It is out of keeping with the pricing on the rest of the products, and for the type of pencil case it is. But other than that – brilliant!
I agree it seems expensive. however, it feels like leather, maybe the processing of the tyre is more expensive?
