For those of you who don’t know, The Ana Mum Diary was chosen as a Center Parcs Family Blogger, you can see the badge up on the right hand side. This will mean, we will be able to enjoy a break at Center Parcs next year. We are so excited, its a great opportunity, and the first time we have ever been there as a family, so we can’t wait!
Well Center Parcs, are offering the chance for other bloggers to join us (well not with us exactly, the lodge wouldn’t be big enough silly) as Family Blogger ‘wild cards’ and each month they will be asked to perform a task. Here is the LINK with all the details if you want to join in too. This months task, it is to write a seasonal poem. We thought this was a great challenge and wanted to join in on the fun.
Miss N (aged 11) is a fantastic writer I think, and especially loves poetry, so decided this challenge was perfect for her. Here is her Poem entitled Autumnal Morning.
On an Autumn morning
Crisp leaves are falling
Breezes Oh so cooling
I hear the sound of the birds tweeting
Watching the squirrels leaping
Bright red berries on the ground
So many conkers I have found
I see my friends across the road
as I skip across the grass, just mowed
Oh how I wish with all my might
the bright colours of autumn would never leave my sight.
So what do you think? I’m very proud of her, I think she gives a real favour for the season with that poem. We loved reading all the tips from Center Parcs Whinfell Forest’s resident nature expert and Conservation Ranger, Emma Tapp. Miss N decided she liked the tip about playing outside the most. So that’s just what we did!
Here is the tip :
Play outside – Despite the drop in temperature, it’s great to wrap up warm and get outside in the fresh air. The sound of the leaves crunching as you stroll through the park or play in the garden is bound to get you and your children inspired, so why not head outside for a brisk autumn stroll before setting to work on your poetic masterpiece?
I’m a Center Parcs Family Blogger and will be visiting Sherwood Forest village with my family. If you want to enter to win a place as a wildcard winner just go the challenge page to find out how.’

Enjoyed seeing your post, got to write my own this week! My dad’s the poet in my family, rather tempted to get him to do it! ;-P
