Oh how I love Christmas. I think anyone can tell by all of the festive posts I have been putting up in December. Decorating the house is something we traditionally do, after Miss N’s play at school, which usually is the first week of December. Now however Miss A (4) has started school, we needed to do it differently, but her play was in November, which seemed way to earlier. So with one thing or another we only put ours up at the weekend. Unfortunately when Tall Dad went to put the outside lights up, they were all broke.
Luckily I had been gifted a £50 voucher from Homebase, so we were able to replace them, with this…
A bargain at £29, I think it’s a very classy look for an outside light, and the girls absolutely love it! He makes a real impact, as you approach the house, so bright and twinkly. He looks like he leaping over the house, all the way home to Lapland!
Tall Dad said he was very simple to fit to the garage door, and he came with a decent length cable, to attach to the socket. We have him on a timer, so easy peasy, he is lit up, just as it falls to dusk.
It’s so easy to buy Christmas decorations with Homebase, as they are all divided into sections, whether you buy online or instore. Even down to the style of the baubles, so each to mix and match your selection.
Because I had some money left over, I decided to go for two more decorations to match, but for the inside this time. I think Bennett took a liking to these two gorgeously over the top white sparkly stags!
There is a great selection of Christmas decorations at Homebase, I particularly like the vintage style ones. The stags I choose cost £9.99 each, a great price as they are quite large.
I think they finish of my Christmas fireplace perfectly.
So what do you think to my all white decorations? Also are they reindeer or stags? I’ve been puzzling over that for the whole time I’ve been writing this post, and I’m still not sure. I love them though what ever they are.

LOVE it. I especially like your tree, to the right of your fireplace. The stags look really striking – and I see the dog approves too!

I’m afraid I have no idea if they are reindeer or stags, but they look lovely! The outdoor light decoration is great too, we’ve yet to make the move to outdoor lights but we do love our Christmas decorations so I’m sure we will at some point!

I wouldn’t think to go to Homebase, I always seem to go to department stores or the garden centre by where we live.
