Do you always eat breakfast?
I have a terrible habit for skipping breakfast. I always find time for a couple of cups of strong coffee though (not the healthiest of breakfasts) but really I do have the time to quickly put something together. I think its also partly because I don’t find breakfast that inspiring, and I like the idea of trying something different to start each day.
I was reading an article, on the SF Gate site, you can read it in full HERE.
Fruits smoothies can be an easy way to nourish your body with essential nutrients. The best way to know the exact ingredients in your smoothie is to make them yourself. All you need is a blender, fruit and a base, such as water, milk or yogurt. Making your own smoothies can help prevent fruit from going to waste, while providing benefits that will keep you on the right track towards good health.
Smoothies to me sound like they offer me the variety that I am looking for. I buy lots of fruit each week, but it does sometimes go to waste before its eaten, and I like the idea of knowing exactly what goes into my smoothie as well. So, as part of my work with Argos this year and my quest to be fit and healthy I have been trying out one of the Kenwood kMix Blenders, it also blends soup too, so that’s potentially another healthy option diet wise. I’ll will keep you posted with my progress, and share a couple of my favourite recipes, so watch this space.

Ooooooh look forward to some fab recipes! I just love making soups and not only have I converted the kids (depending on the colour), from tinned…. I am resisting the urge to have bread and butter, making it a very healthy option. I do use a pan and blender, so would be interested to know if this is better.
Yummy feeling a Leekie & Potato coming on!

That interesting, ‘depending on the colour’ which ones aren’t they so keen on? So far its been successful, though I’ve had one fail….bit too adventurous!

I love smoothies, especially berry ones but I could never ever skip breakfast. I’d be terribly grumpy and moody all day. It’s the most important meal for me. I could skip everything else, but not breakfast.
Looking forward to some fab recipes. I do love a smoothie as a little pick me up in the afternoon x

I’m trying to get better, but I’ve been like it most of my life I think, well from being a teenager. I love berry smoothies too!
