I thought I would spend a few minutes at the end each month, thinking about what has made me happy or smile. Such a simple thing, but something I really do think I don’t do enough of. I very much live in the moment, or for the future, and don’t spend time looking backwards. Hopefully that will encourage me to take more photographs as well.
January has been incredibly busy for me work and family wise. I’ve also been attempting to not drink alcohol for the whole of January too. It was going well, up until a well earned night out for Tall Dad and I. Incredible cocktails and very lovely company, I just couldn’t resist! Yes I know I am very weak willed, once I sniff a ‘chasing the dragon’!
We’ve been making more plans for changes in house too, which is bound to make me smile with my love of interiors. More of that next month though. On that note though, the other thing that has made me smile, is The Great Interior Design Challenge on BBC2, have you seen it? It’s just brilliant, and I’ve enjoyed watching it with my eldest daughter Miss N, as its on at a sensible time.
Getting out and about – I have loved going to events this month, especially the Interiors UK show and the B&Q spring/summer event (more on that though next week) working with some fab people and companies has made my work life great fun.
That’s it for January, next month, hopefully I will have taken more photographs, and have a better memory of what has happened…blame it on my age!
