This is a recipe book, with over 50 desserts in. Low in calorie, they are supposed to satisfy a sweet tooth whilst remaining healthy. I must admit, I didn’t like the title of the book, but maybe ‘guilt free girl’ is more a brand name than a title? Unfortunately there aren’t any cupcake recipes in the book, as I thought this would be a great one to test out. There was however a Mini chocolate fondant recipe, which looked wonderful in the illustration.

I did find the recipe hard to follow. The instructions were very unclear to me, and there was many, many ingredients, I’m not sure though if this is just a reflection on my cooking skills rather than the book. I can’t say I usually have this problem though with recipes. I do know though that this recipe is, in its full fat version, notoriously hard to master, so maybe it was that.
The end result though turned out well, it was tasty and very gooey and chocolately, just as a chocolate fondant should be! Both of my daughters were very impressed with it, it also gave me chance to use up some of the easter chocolate, so win win!
I was sent the book to review, this post is an honest reflection of my experience.
