Its been a while since I tested out some new beauty products, from a company that are new to me. I’ve got to say it’s one of my favourite things to do. For the past couple of weeks I’ve been testing two ranges from Amway. So in the next two blog post, I will be taking about each of them in more details. First up, here some information about the company Amway :
Amway is one of the world’s largest direct selling companies. At the same time, it’s a family business that values every Amway Business Owner as a partner in a journey of success. Started in 1959 by lifelong friends and business partners Rich DeVos and Jay Van Andel, Amway was founded on principles of freedom, family, hope and reward.
A hair care range called
Satinique :
I’ve been using the first three products, the tub on the far right (green) was matte texturing wax, which with long hair, isn’t something I would ever use, I have however given it to Tall Dad to test out.
1. Smooth moisture conditioner – for dry unruly hair.
£9.65 – 280 ml
This was definitely my kind of conditioner, it smells of peaches, as does the matching shampoo below. It left my hair soft, and definitely more manageable.
- Restores vital moisture to the hair after one use
- Controls frizz. Hair looks shiny, feels soft*
- Leaves hair up to 6x smoother
*When used as a system with Smooth Moisture Shampoo, Conditioner and Straightening Balm
2. Smooth moisture shampoo – for dry unruly hair
£9.10 -280 ml
I’ve just had my hair highlighted, and really was looking for a gentle shampoo that doesn’t strip my hair. This is definitely gentle, and didn’t make my colour fade.
- Restores vital moisture to the hair after one use
- Controls frizz. Hair looks shiny, feels soft
I also tried this together with :
3. Revitalizing Mask
£22.25 – 240 ml
Fortifying treatment to repair and deep condition before styling. I used this one evening in a wrap, for an hour on my hair before washing it off. It left my hair, so conditioned and soft, and the smell was lighter than the peach one, more like rose.
- Blended with Vitamin E, Grape Seed Oil Extract and Kukui Seed Oil to help protect hair against environmental damage and leave hair looking healthy and moisturising
- Fortifying treatment to repair and deep condition before styling; works deep within the hair, while strengthening and protecting each hair strand
4. Texturing Matt Wax
£14.50 – 50 ml
Tall Dad has been testing this out and really likes the product. ‘Its not sticky, and is easy to use in the hair. Great for when I want my hair to look more textured or messy.’
• Separates and defines
• Matte finish
• Hair does not look greasy, has a natural looking finish
Overall I was impressed with all four of the hair products, I usually struggle when I change shampoos as my scalp reacts, so I was relieved that it didn’t this time. They all felt like great quality products to use, and left my hair conditioned and easy to style.
I will next be looking at three Artistry beauty products also available with Amway.
The products mentioned here, are samples. All thoughts included are my own.
Rachel says
My hair is really, really dry at the moment and I’ve been using Frizz Ease by the bucketload. I feel like I need to drench it in oil. I think I need all of these, especially the mask.
Amanda Cottingham says
I usually use Frizz ease too, but I’ve switched to an oil before styling, not a heavy one but a light and colour protecting one. I sometime think having a change really helps.
