I’ve written quite a lot recently, about how my family is growing up, and life is changing. We seem to be on a fast paced travelator, that as I get older, speeds faster and faster. I remember my own parents saying how ‘Children grow up so fast, they are adults in a blink of an eye’ never thinking that it could be true.
This is a really lovely video from Fairy showing just that, with a girl and her Mum through the passage of time.
With this campaign Fairy is helping encourage Mums and Dads to make the most of those oh-so-soft cuddles with their little ones while they can!
So I spent some time going through old photographs, and making a small timeline through pictures, firstly Nia, now 12, memories came flooding back.
I remember washing all of the clothes I had bought, ready for her arrival, my precious little girl so small. Washing the first toy that I bought her, a comforter called Steiffy, who is important to her to this day. Everything neatly folded in preparation. Once born, folding her tightly in warm fluffy towels as I nervously learnt the art of bathing a baby.
In turn each time she has started a new year at school, new uniform bought, washed labelled and freshly ironed.
In turn those same baby clothes were brought down from the attic and washed again for my next daughter Miss A, and the cycle went full circle. At this rate they will both be at university before I know it. Miss A much messier that Nia, always up to something. Both of them still love a cuddle, especially on the sofa with a warm blanket whilst watching a film. They will always be my babies.

So sad they gave to grow up Hun! Firstly I thought the pic of Nia in her dancing outfit was very much Miss A! Very similar in looks. I can see all of The Cottingham side in Nia and Miss A is very much a Gidlow.
Thanks for sharing 😉

So lovely to see how much they have grown and changed but it does all seem so fast from birth to school.
