As a treat from the gorgeous team at Next, last week, a group of bloggers were invited to spend the day and night at Champneys. It was a day of pampering, laughter, chatter and fun. When we arrived we put our bags in the room, and got changed into the Champneys white robes. I love a spa, but the idea of spending all day in a dressing gown is a really strange one.
Waiting for us on the bed was a gift of Next goodies. PJ’s (I had ripped my favourite pair that very morning) so they were very well received, a candle and a scarf.
Soft scarf alert…
I had a gorgeous view of the tennis courts and fields beyond from my room.
The treatments I tried was thalassotherapy, which I really enjoyed. It’s a salt water pool with jets of water that are used to massage your body in different places. As I bobbed around moving from jet to jet as directed by the therapist, it felt like the treatment was from another era, but in a really cool way. I also had a facial and massage. The massage was exceptional, I felt both relaxed and ready to take on the world afterwards.
The evening meal was a real treat. I loved how the nutritional information was on the menu, so you could make healthy choices, especially if you are on a special diet.
The food though healthy was incredibly tasty, that’s something I took away from the trip and really made me thing about the way I cook food.
I couldn’t resist showing you this shot of some of the other bloggers taking a selfie…CHEESE!
It was a fab spa trip, great fun to share with such a lovely bunch of bloggers. The Next team wore their Next outfits with pride, they looked very cool indeed, wearing pixie boots that I need to have in my wardrobe now, and cute dresses in the evening.
As I am now back on the school run, I thought I would do a little mood board of some of my top school run picks for this winter. Enjoy!
