At the Pic Gallery in London this week, there was an exhibition which showcased the best images from a ‘A Birds Eye View’ competition held by Birds Eye. It was an exclusive photography exhibition presented by the world-famous photographer Martin Parr. Sadly I wasn’t able to make it. Anyone who reads my blog, knows how much I love photography and I would have loved to chatted to Martin Parr and gotten some hints and tips.
As well as the competition entries were Martin Parr’s own images taken over the last four months. His images really capture what is happening at meal times in the UK. There are 30 images all very different and include a group of young professionals sharing a midweek meal with a friend over Skype, a family eating a laid back dinner in front of the TV and a household enjoying a traditional Indian curry. The powerful message of how meal times can bring together families.
Martin Parr comments:
“Partnering with BirdsEye on this project offered me a unique insight into the nation’s eating habits. Each photograph
tells a story and reveals a fascinating insight into people’s lives – not only how we eat with others but also on our own. My aim with ‘ABirds Eye View’ was to champion the many food traits and behaviours Brits have in a way that makes us appreciate each other for our different and wonderful ways of living.”
Well in conjunction with Birds Eye and the exhibition I am hosting a competition to win ….

I forgot the hashtag in my first tweet – then tried to tweet again and couldn’t get it to work from the gallery so have used my original tweet and tweeted it again and added the hashtag. Hope that’s ok. x
