We all suffer with some form of skin complaint during our lives. We also all I’m sure, have tried lotions and potions that lie half full in the back of a cupboard, having been little or no use to help with them. When I started reading the Cloud 9 Skin Solutions site I really loved their ethos, ‘to produce products that would deliver on their promise and be used down to the very last drop’. That’s some promise! So together with my daughter, we tested three products from the range.
My chief tester of Cloud 9 Skin Solutions was Nia my eldest daughter who is 12 and who tried two of the products. Clarity, Skin Clearing Spot Gel (£32), and Skin Rehab Scar Minimising Cream (£35) both of which have won Beauty Awards (2014) and she has been doing so for nearly 2 weeks.
First up, is Clarity Skin Clearing Spot Gel.
Before applying Cloud 9 Clarity, thoroughly clean and dry your skin. Gently rub a thin layer of Clarity Skin Clearing Spot Gel twice daily; in the morning and evening. Should you feel that your skin becomes slightly irritated or dry, then you can reduce the number of applications to once daily or even on alternate days only.
Both Nia and I have been really impressed with this gel. It definitely works to reduce inflammation and she has had less new spots since using it, in fact none hurrah! As time is an important factor in the mornings, she loved that the gel was clear, and couldn’t be seen, so she didn’t have to worry about that before she went to school. She had when she started to apply the gel, a painful spot on her chin, and she said the gel definitely soothed the spot, and she felt it went down in size and healed quicker. So a big thumbs up from us, it works, and would definitely be something we would repurchase having tried it.
The Skin Rehab Scar Minimising Cream.
For optimal results use regularly. Gently and evenly rub the cream into the scar several times per day for a period of four to five months. Begin using Skin Rehab Scar Minimising Cream as soon as your wound has healed and your stitches have been removed. For older scars you may start using it immediately. Skin Rehab Scar Minimising is most effective in treating new scars.
Nia used on her chin area, every morning and evening, and she found it to be soothing, and didn’t irritate her skin at all. It’s really early days ( you need to use the cream for several months) to ascertain whether it reduces the small amount of scarring that is there, but she felt it was moisturising to that area, easy to use, and it sank into the skin well when it was massaged. We will continue using it until we use it all up, and then amend this review with our results.
Finally, I tried the Tranquility from Cloud 9 Skin Solutions– Ultra Soothing Cream for Dry Damaged Skin – (£36)
Cleanse area before applying. Apply twice daily to affected area for at least 3 months for optimal results. This cream may be appropriate for long-term treatment of psoriasis and continual use of topical Vitamin B12 is safe and effective. Vitamin B12 provides a pinkish tint to the product; it will not stain skin or clothing. Avoid contact with eyes
I am so used to products of this type having a smell, I was pleasantly surprised this one didn’t. It was also quite a bright pink colour, that you could see through the tube, which actually made it easy to see how much product was left. It sank into the skin well, though for the first few minutes, it did give my skin a slightly pink shimmering look, this was only for a couple of minutes though. It definitely left my skin after two weeks of using it feeling smooth, I used it on my face, and the backs of my hands, my two driest areas, and I definitely saw an improvement. Like most people I battle dry skin in winter. I have also burnt myself with steam on my hand recently, and though its healing its been irritated, whenever I wash my hands. So I have been using this and its been brilliant to add a small amount to the area, and what was quite flaky, is now completely smooth.
So overall great products, that I would have no hesitation continuing to use. Have you tried Cloud 9 products, I would love to know what you thought?
