Whistle and Wolf : Bow Blouse

Take one bow front blouse and you can easily move from day to evening. -Me!

Last week, I spent hours de-cluttering, and this has meant I have had to be ruthless with my wardrobe.  Gone are all of the items that one day I’ll be slim enough to fit into (crazy dream Amanda) as are the things that I don’t look at and declare ‘YES…I love those’.  What I was then left with I then made my final cull.  With this I looked at each of my items of clothing, and made sure they worked in more than one way.  So they could be dressed up or down, used to layer in the winter for example. Each of the pieces had to have staying power in my wardrobe.

One of the pieces, that definitely had to stay was this black bow blouse from Whistle and Wolf – £45.  Every women should have one in her wardrobe, it’s a classic and the perfect illustration of a piece that can be used in many ways.

It’s such a cute blouse, perfect for work or play! I would wear it with black trousers, and brightly coloured cardi in the winter, great for me when I have to attend event, and be comfortable, but feel smart. Summer I would go for something like this gorgeous flowered knee-length skirt (£60) also from Whistle and Wolf, this look would take you from work to a summer evening at a wine or cocktail bar.  Or how about these Whistle and Wolf tailored brocade shorts (£40) to show off your pins, for an after hours look, if you are daring they are smart enough to wear for work too!

Do you make sure that when you buy clothes they are going to give you more variety and options in your wardrobe, or do you just fall in love.  Luckily with my bow blouse, I did both!
