A couple of weeks ago I visited Londinium again, just a flying evening visit, but it was a really interesting event, and such an intriguing idea, I felt had to attend. It was set in the famous Jamaican Inn, the first coffee-house in London and I had been invited by Dolce Gusto, so as a complete coffee addict you can see my attraction. The evening promised to be a mixture of old England tradition and history, coupled with modern technology in the guise of coffee machines, and a room full of bloggers and vloggers. A tantalising mix!
I think the thing that struck me the most, was that I was probably one of the oldest people attending, and I didn’t know the other bloggers and vloggers (except for the very lovely Jacqui from Mummy’s Little Monkey) and they did know me, or my work. Yet, sat in this darkened room with a cup of coffee, we got to talking and I soon realised that age aside we were exactly the same, and had so much in common and lots to talk about. They really were a amazing and diverse group of people.
There was a film crew attending too, who were filming conversations as they were happening. Once I can share that video I’ll update this post.
There was also an artist, Faizal Lulat a very intriguing and fella with a real twinkle in his eye, I thought. Faizal was circulating the room chatting, but also asked each of us to write down 5 things that described you, so that he could make a piece of art that was a based on it. You can see him at work below.
The finished artwork was then sent to my home, you can see it below and I just love it. Very poignant I think.

I want to thank everyone who attended and made me feel so welcome and all of the PR and Dolce Gusto team for inviting me.
Disclaimer : I have not been paid to write this post, I just wanted to share the evening with my readers.
