So the sun has been shining…yippee! We have spent so much of the Easter holidays outside so far, and loving it, I hope you are too.
A few days ago, Tall Dad and I were subjected to a power point presentation (yes really) of the reasons why our two girls should have a new trampoline, as our old one died a death last year. With the promise of never falling out ever again and playing together lots more, of course they won that battle. Since it’s been up, I literally can’t get the girls off it! All that exercise and bobbing up and down has made for two very happy sisters, and equally happy Mum and Dad!
Now the gorgeous sunshine-y weather has meant that Miss A has been able to wear some of her new summer clothes. This is one outfit that we have been saving for the beach this summer, but it’s too fab not to wear, so its been having an outing this Easter. It’s by SUNUVA, which was founded in 2007 by two Mums who had a chance meeting by a hotel pool. They soon discovered they could bring a new boho style that was sadly lacking in children’s UV protected swimwear. I’ve got to agree, their range is great, and I love the prints available.
They are separates, a SUNUVA quick dry UPF 50+ girls rash vests (£39) and swim shorts (£35).
I’d never heard of rash vests before, but they are super soft tops that adults and children wear on tropical beaches, to keep protect them. SUNUVA’s range keeps out more than 97% of the sun’s harmful rays, which is incredible impressive, and necessary! I was so impressed with the quality, it’s a breathable fabric that is super-soft to touch, even the seams. I love the feather headdress decoration, with splashes of neon, the lovely detailing of 3/4 length sleeves, with ties to either side and wooden beads and buttons.
We teamed the vest with these matching fluro feather print shorts, also made from breathable UPF 50+ fabric, which blocks out 97% of the sun’s harmful rays. I’d say they were true to size. My daughter is very nearly 6 (but wears 7-8 year clothing) as she’s tall for her age, and the 7-8 is a perfect fit!
Thanks to SUNUVA for sending us the vest and short, they are going to get LOTS of use, I’m planning our next adventure away as I type!

How grown up does A look in those photos?? The beachwear looks lovely, I always bought sets like that for the boys when they were younger as it is great to know they are well protected.
