Candle Holder : John Lewis / Cushions Andy Hau
My living room, is also my office, so working from home as I do, its a very important room to me. It’s a true reflection I feel, on my interior style. Yes I am a little eclectic and vintage in my style, but I do embrace new trends, and weave them into my interiors where I can.
Well with this in mind I wanted to show you part of my living room, and my new (I have fallen so deeply for) side or occasional table from WITHIN. WITHIN sells beautiful and affordable furniture and accessories for the home. Its based in London’s West End and is founded by Alison Cork, who is a TV presenter, and home expert. Alison has been penned The Oprah Winfrey of Home Interiors, she works though with a very simple message and belief “Everyone deserves a beautiful home”.
You can actually spot my desk which is just behind my two-seater sofa, and where I am writing this today.
The Huxley occasional table showcases the trend that is huge at the moment, of luxurious interiors and metallics but it is also a retro shape and style, which I love!
W54 x D28 x H55cm
It arrived within a few days of ordering and was assembled by the delivery driver, who also took away the packaging. A small thing but this really impressed me, he even wore gloves to not damage the table in any way.
It is priced very reasonably at £245, really lovely quality, heavy and well finished, the glass is tempered glass for safety. I feel it blends in well, into my scheme, and I can’t tell you how handy it has been for drinks and as a place to put my kindle in the evening when I am reading. I don’t have an electricity socket in this part of the room, so instead I made a wine bottle light which you can see above, but it would look great with a table lamp.
I’ve played around with dressing it, treated myself to an orchid from my local garden center, adding a cacti in a matching white pot too. The lower shelf gives the illusion that its floating from some angles, which is a lovely design touch.
Thank you to WITHIN for gifting me this table, this certainly won’t be the last thing I order from the site, I’m smitten! Have you checked out the site, what’s your favourite piece?
