I knew my soon to be teen needed a bedside table light for her newly refurbished bedroom, but I didn’t want to go for ‘just’ a light. Her room really is a reflection of her, and so it would be a shame to just make do with a boring lamp. Well the BrightSounds ambient LED light and bluetooth speaker was just perfect. She is a music obsessed, and I really do mean that…obsessed! She can even use it outside, as its equipped with IPX4 water resistance.
Its simple to use, even if you are a blurry eyed teen, who rarely wakes before 12. With a handle in brown, the light is at the bottom of the unit, and the 5W speaker with a 360 degree grille at the top. Connecting it to Bluetooth is easy and it remained paired too, so no issues with having to reconnect it. You can even use it for hands free calling.
You can dim the light simply by pressing and holding the light button. The control are all located at the top of the unit.

Once charged it last upto 9 hours, which we’ve tested out and can confirm is true. Its also very affordable at £39.99. Nia loves the unfussy contemporary design, as do I. It comes in 5 vibrant colours – Blue, Green, Mustard, Pink and Teal. We went for the teal as it matches her room and is her favourite colour.
The sound quality, is great for an speaker of this size and price, perfect for a bedside table. Best of all this is a British design!
