I get asked quite a lot if I will review things that are said to aid sleep or make you look refreshed and had a full nights sleep. I can’t say I’ve been that impressed with any of them really. So when I was asked shortly before my trip to Israel, if I would review a few things that might help me once I was back, I thought it was worth giving it a shot.
So what was I sent?
Well as part of The Fine Bedding Companies new limited edition Sleeping Beauty range, for every bundle purchased (which is a duvet and two pillows) you are sent two free Flint+Flint gifts, worth a total of £79 – The Flint+Flint Eye Hero – a brightening smoothing cream for eyes and wrinkles, plus the Flint+Flint Moisturiser x3 a triple action nourishing night cream.
I got to try the duvet, a 10.5 tog duvet and 4 of the Flint range, including the two given away free with the offer. They felt like the perfect welcome home present when I got back!
Sleep moves in cycles of deep and light sleep that last around 90 minutes. It’s at the deep sleep stage when growth hormones peak, stimulating cell and tissue repair. Regularly losing sleep can mean this repair process is slowed and premature ageing and wrinkles can take hold. Other nasties can also appear such as uneven pigmentation, puffiness and dark circles.
The Fine Bedding Company duvet was perfectly warm, I was not used to these colder mornings, having just got back from 35+ degree heat. It felt light though, with a microfibre blend inside (I am not a fan of feather duvets) so its non allergenic with a polycotton cover.
It really felt like a good quality duvet, draped well on the bed. Even down to the fact you could reuse the bag, and the quality details of the zips and tabs. Once I was back, we dressed the bed with clean bedding and my new duvet, and I can definitely say, I slept like a baby!I absolutely loved the Flint+Flint range, firstly the fact it made in England, as I’m always very happy to promote and use things made here. Also the packaging, real thought has been given to it, and the detailing was striking with the ‘+’ in different colours used throughout the range I loved.
I tried the Everyday Wash (£27) which was a refreshing way to wash away the day, or wake you up in the morning, I loved that you also only needed to use a little of it, for it to be effective, and it left me feeling clean and my make up washed away.
Lip Hero (£15) This I actually gave to my eldest daughter to try out, as she loves lip products, and it didn’t disappoint. She thought it was very moisturising, and made a real difference to her lips.
Moisturiser 3x (£42) This and the Eye Hero (£37) were my favourites, and I definitely felt my skin was both nourished and smooth from using both of these. I needed it after the flights, they were both the perfect hydrating antidote.
So if you are looking for some pampering I think any of these products would be perfect, I actually think the whole Sleeping Beauty set would make a great gift for someone. For me, they were a great way for me to have a treat and help me have some restorative sleep!
