I wanted to start off to post by asking you a question.
Do you dread putting up shelves, TV brackets, pictures or even curtain poles?
I know we definitely do! I currently have a curtain pole which is in dire need of attention before it collapses on my head from the weight of the children pulling it curtains. Whether you live in an old or new house, walls can be incredibly tricky to attach things to. It’s something you need to put planning into, what kind of wall it is will change what fixing you will need for example. We have definitely made some wrong decisions about that in the past. Also the longevity of that fixing, and whether it will start to come out because of the weight, and that brings with it, a whole new set of problems, believe me I know!

These are problems that will no longer exist thanks to the revolutionary wall solution that is Lifestyle Wall. Do you have a new house project in mind? If so, I would definitely recommend you go for the Lifestyle Wall (Gyproc Habito) it has more strength than standard plaster board, and is incredibly easy to fix things to, and thats something that I got to test out at an event this week, which was attended by the TV presenter and architect George Clarke.
George described Lifestyle Wall as a game changer in house and extension building, and was incredibly impressed with it.
We all got to check out, both how easy it was to attach a screw, using just a screwdriver, and how strong those fixings were. Below you can see George’s single screw with a 20kg (15kg is the recommended maximum weight) weight attached. Impressive huh? The first thing I thought of was the mirror I fell in love with that I couldn’t buy because it was far too heavy for my walls. Problem solved!
Because of the structure and thickness of the new board, it brings with it also improved sound insulation too. If that wasn’t enough, it’s also resistant to the knocks and bangs that all of our homes are subject to. So in those high traffic areas like hallways, there is less likelihood for a need for ongoing maintenance.
I am hoping that at some point we will be doing a extension, and I wouldn’t hesitate using this product, and have only good things to say about it. In terms of cost, from what I can gather, it is not too much more expensive than standard plasterboard, but the benefits from what I can see completely outweigh this!

We SO need this – both my husband and me are walking DIY disasters and have a nightmare each time there are pictures to put up, curtain poles or shelves. x
