We were ready for a bedroom refresh, Tall Dad and I. With new year coming, we were in the frame of mind for a change in the colour scheme and the feel of the room. I love my bedroom, and the furniture I have, but before Christmas we both wanted to see if we could do a quick fix on the room, without decorating (as we didn’t have the time to commit to that) but really wanted to make an visual impact.
So this is what our bedroom looked like BEFORE:
So with the help of the new A/W15 Bedeck Ziba bedding we did just that:
Even though there is actually more colour in the room, it feel so much calmer, more like a sanctuary than before. The bedding feels beautiful to the touch, so soft, and has a slight sheen to it, I guess that’s the sateen look that Bedeck describes, which also makes it easier to iron I found, which is a bonus!
We went for Ziba from the Bedeck 1951 range because of its ethnic tribal print. The navy works well with the yellow in the wallpaper. Even though navy is a masculine colour and much darker than I’ve ever chosen, the pattern is quite feminine so works well I think.
We are used to very plain one colour bedding, so this actually gives a really different feel to the room than we are used to. I love the textures and patterns that are introduced in the room, the navy colouring gives the room real depth.
The kingsize quilt cover with housewife and contrasting (I love this detail) oxford pillowcases are complimented by the embroidered ikat cushion and quilted throw with sequin detailing. All of the products are great quality, they look and feel great.
Bedeck 1951 celebrates its re-launch this autumn/winter with a new bedlinen and accessory collection, drawing on inspiration from a fusion of global influences. The addition of ‘1951’ to the Bedeck brand is in celebration of its 64 year history as one of the UK’s leading luxury bedding and bathroom brands.
The new AW15 collection from Bedeck 1951 features six bedlinen designs and is inspired by traditional Asian, Oriental and European design, reinvigorated with a modern aesthetic style. Using a rich and vibrant colour palette with metallic highlights, natural linens and sophisticated details this collection captures an international look for the contemporary home.
