Oh to feel fit and to spend more of my leisure time with the family. Two things that I have wanted to feel, or have in my life for so very long. Rather than just sit back and wait for this to magically happen, I have gone one step further and put this into action by joining my local David Lloyd club.
You may remember a couple of weeks ago, I wrote about visiting the gym, and how fab I thought it was for children as well as adults. This also put me in a good position to figure out what I wanted from my membership and how I am going to achieve it.
So here goes, here are my goals. You do need to note, I am a complete gym virgin so doing this is way out of my comfort zone!
Amanda : To do a Aqua Aerobics session and Yoga session every week that I am in the UK (I’m away for 4 weeks over the summer ) I’d like to boost my energy, and feel better about myself. To attend all of the many induction sessions available, and then use that to look at what other sessions I’d like to try.
Nia : One more PT session, and then attend the FIT 11-15 yrs SAQ. To swim in the outdoor pool. Meet up with friends in the school holidays, to play tennis and have active fun.
Miss A : More confidence in the water, and to attend the children’s club.
The Family : To spend time together, and have fun this summer. A tennis match, and swimming together are two things we definitely want to do.
So that’s my aims for the next 5 months, more updates coming soon!

I think it’s fantastic that you can use David Lloyds for the entire family! It’s brilliant that you have come up with an action plan as well for the next few months. You know what they say – if you fail to plan then you plan to fail! Exercise is so hard to do if you don’t enjoy it, but making it a fun family activity will make it easier to stick to xxx
