I’m a little late with this, but because I’ve been away from home quite a bit this month, I’ve not been able to update you with any of the things I am loving recently.
September is one of my favourite months. I love taking advantage of the remnants of the sun, making autumn preparations…plus its my birthday!
I know I’m not alone saying I much prefer clothes for colder weather. I think I naturally go for darker colours, layers and I am totally obsessed with boots. So whilst I have been doing a bit of a purge of my wardrobe this week, I’ve been scouting out some new items I want to add to it. Black boots were top of the list, as I’d had to get rid of two old faithful pairs, that were beyond repair. So I had a peruse of one of my favourite shoe shops, Hotter to see what new things they had in for the season.
I’ve mentioned a few times about the fact I suffer from plantar fasciitis (the absolute bane of my life) so when I choose shoes or boots, I must have something well made, providing me with cushioning and support. There was a time when I could still wear heels, but sadly I even think those days are over now. You’d be forgiven thinking that Hotter shoes only do shoes for the older generation, well they do both in all honesty and the more trend led options are really fab, and are for someone like me who doesn’t want to give up cool and classic fashion as well as comfort.
I pre-ordered one pair (I’ll update you on those once I receive them) but I did pick up a pair of short ankle boots and a bag.
The County Boot £85 and a clutch bag, which I can’t see on the site but was £15. It even came with a metal strap so I could wear it as a shoulder bag too.
Stay tuned to see how I’ll be wearing them this season.
I’m also loving Bloom and Wild. This is a letterbox flower delivery service. I’m still in awe all these flowers would fit thought the letter box, but they did! The come in bud, so for the first week, I had them grouped in a vase keeping their stems long, however as they flowered I decided to divide them up as you can see below.
Apart from the lilies they are still going strong a week and half later.
I took so many great images of the flowers, but unfortunately I’ve had a problem with my memory card, and I’ve lost them all. It’s never happened to me before (apart from that time I went to Africa with a new camera, which was a complete disaster) and I’m absolutely gutted to have lost them, as well as a few ‘000 other images. This weekend the air was blue!
Finally when I was in London recently I attended a Habitat ‘Light Club’ I’m sure it was a total co-incidence, but this was also the night I decided that I could no longer wear heels.
It was a really fun night, with amazing dancers, cocktails and Prosecco and a great DJ. The night I attended was bursting at the seams with interior and lifestyle bloggers to celebrate the launch of the new AW16 lighting collection. Its going to be happening one more time, so follow this LINK to find out more details.
Ok, that’s it for me, hope you enjoyed this update and I promise to have another one next month.
