Log stores are a brilliant investment to have throughout the winter months especially and can also be used all year around! Wood burning fires are always a widely appreciated thing to have, in particular when living somewhere where winter months can often be bitter and cold. Though the only factor which may come as a nuisance is where to store the wood and the logs? Well, log stores give us a solution to this problem with a safe, dry and well-built place to keep all wood burning logs and give us a solution to the ongoing problem of unsatisfactory and unusable logs which have become damp and rotten. The reason that it is very important when owning a log burner to keep all logs dry and safely stored is due to the fact that if not, once wet, they are very difficult to use and often, do not burn.
In addition to this, it is never good to be inviting unwanted insects into your home but when logs are damp they will attract more hidden creatures which will be entering your home once you bring in the logs! This is why log stores are so practical and why they are a brilliant asset to have within the home. So why are these items so practical? Well, when winter comes, and its cold outside and you really want to get them logs burning, why would anyone want to have to try find and collect logs?! It’s so much better when they are already there, tucked away in their very own log store to be simply picked up out of the store and for the fire to get started- PERFECT!
So the situation for many can be quite different. In some cases, the build-up of logs can be extremely extensive with mounds high of them, though many only collect a few and that is enough for them. Well, if you get searching, it is usually found that many log stores can be found in a range of different shapes and sizes, perfect for the needs of every individual. In addition to this, there are a range of different materials so if you are looking for a top of the range log stores, many are found to be made out of pure oak and some even with properly fitted slate roofs!
Overall, these practical stores are great for so many households and you can get some extremely good deals with what you get and where you look with brilliant deals and fabulous quality. Why not check out our friends at Fishers Woodcrafts where they offer a whole selection of different items to choose from and are a brilliant bunch of people to work with! I loved the log burner at Coombe Mill when we visited last year. There’s something more homely about burning logs than central heating.

Yes I have a coal fire, but my mum and dad burn logs and it has a smell and whole different feel to it I agree.
