Have you noticed, I’m having a real fashion moment on the blog this week? There are so many gorgeous things around for AW16, and that includes party and evening wear. I thought I would share with you some of my favourite picks online, on the Simply Be site. From party dresses to evening separates, these are great affordable items to add a little sparkle to your wardrobe this season.
Have you heard of Simply Be?
Our intent is to inspire, influence and connect real women in a real world who simply want to be themselves. We put fashion first and compromise nowhere. We provide perfect-fitting style. We want to turn heads and stop traffic. We want people to be confident about curves and believe that style shouldn’t come with a dress size. Be you. It’s real. And it’s sexy, life is too short to blend in to the background. Be unapologetic, why should you apologise for being who you are? We want you to live life not let life pass you by. So be that ten out of ten that wears sixteen. Be bold. Be the one who steps up, step out and turn heads.
Does that sound like you? I think I could definitely go with that as a description of where I want to shop.
So first up, are two dresses. The AX Paris Print dress is a fantastic one if you were wanting to show off your legs this season. With a green and black floral skater styke skirt and a scuba top, its got a really flattering shape. I’d pair it with a leather bomber jacket, tights and heels.
When I saw the SimplyBe Lace Cami Dress I knew I had to include it. Its midi, which without a doubt is my favourite length at the moment. The lace is bang on trend this season, and I love that its lined, with an elasticated waist, so won’t have to say no to that dessert. Perfect!
OK, lets look at the separates now :
I wanted to also include separates, as they can be great to update what you already have in your wardrobe. You may have, like me, done a wardrobe declutter for the new season, and can see where you have wardrobe holes that need filling. So here are three of my suggestions for your closet.
Now you’d be forgiven thinking that a white blouse such as this is just for the day, I however think its essential to have something like this for day and evening. I’d wear it with velvet skinny trousers, as an alternative to a tighter top, which would works brilliantly if you are wanting something with a sleeve and want to skim over your stomach. I would wear it more open at the neck though, taking advantage of the ties being left open, to elongate the body.
The next two items could be worn together or separately. I’m a fan of a skirt that has a little more volume and nips you in at the waist. You just need to make sure that skirt finishes at a flattering point (smallest point) of your leg. The sweater would look so slimming on I think, your eye would be drawn down, visually elongating the body with the silver rivets.
So those are my AW16 Part time favourites with SimplyBe. I hope you enjoyed the post.
