Let me introduce to you the new Studio Blue range from Denby. I’ve written about my love of Denby pottery before, sharing with you a Thai Curry recipe in the process. I was sent a few pieces from the range, and I wanted to show it to you today, a few snaps I have taken.
Oven safe, Microwave safe, Freezer safe, and Dishwasher safe.
I’ve been using my Studio Blue Denby pottery for the last couple of weeks, and she’s fitted right into her new home. I just love how mix and match the design is and it really works as an everyday tableware, that’s cool enough to be used when you have special guests too.
Treats with a friend who popped over for coffee.
The shape of the tableware also makes it really versatile. With pasta and rice bowls, that could just as easily be used as midweek curry and dessert bowls. Plates, that are chunky, and wholesome feeling, that are perfect for a still warm plate of croissants.
Handcrafted in Derbyshire – just like me! 😉
I wanted to show you the range being used day-to-day, as this is I think how this set is best used. You can’t deny its incredibly beautiful with its four different coloured glazes, speckled with gorgeous blue glaze but it feels substantial, rustic and homely too.

Denby Studio Blue is inspired by the trend for a natural aesthetic in the home using honest materials and ceramic crafting techniques. This quality stoneware collection, which is made in Derbyshire England, features a range of bowls, plates and platters designed with laid-back entertaining in mind. The range combines four tonal glazes inspired by the colours and textures found in stone and minerals, combined to create a tactile collection which captures the essence of Denby’s hand-crafting skills and textural glazes perfected over 200 years. We used it again this weekend, to share our family Sunday lunch using the pasta bowls to pile up our veggies, so that we could help ourselves to them at the table.
What do you think?
Studio Blue is exclusively available to buy at most John Lewis stores and online at johnlewis.com

I can see we share the same passion 🙂 Every time I’m in their shop, I treat myself to a new mug. Now I’m gonna have to move to different items as we have more mugs in the house than socks 🙂

Haha, I know what you mean. I’m on a current mug ban, ignoring the fact Denby sent me two new ones. EEk. I’m in Nottingham, and we used to have a great local store, but its gone now unfortunately. I love that everything is so versatile and suitable for the oven and freezer etc. You should treat yourself to something different next time.
