In today’s world we are all far more aware of the importance of the impact we have on the world, so when I recently started to consider looking for some new furniture, I got to thinking about the environmental impact and was wondering if there was a type of furniture which is Eco friendly yet strong and modern. That is when I came across Vincent Sheppard furniture, a great solution if you are looking for environmentally friendly furniture for indoors and outdoors.
Vincent Sheppard interior furniture comprises of the sort of designs you would see in an interior design magazine. Beautiful oak wood mixed with woven seating for a modern, sleek contemporary look. This type of furniture can often be found in luxury hotels and restaurants across the world, but I think look’s really good in a home setting.
While researching this Eco friendly furniture, I found out that it is actually made using a technique (Lloyd Loom) first used in the early 1900’s. Regular readers will already know I love this style, as I have it in my main bedroom. Kraft paper is tightly twisted around metal wires to create a robust, sturdy furniture with minimal impact on the environment. I must admit that Vincent Sheppard furniture is not suited to everybody’s budget but when you consider that some of their ranges are suitable for Indoor and Outdoor use, it is actually quite reasonable considering the high quality of design involved and quality.
The next step was to find a place where I could buy this type of furniture. There didn’t appear to be many retailers, but I did find one which sells the entire Vincent Sheppard Indoor and Outdoor range and offers free delivery. The Garden Furniture & Interiors Co. is primarily an online retailer but also has a 7000 sq. ft showroom based in the South of England.
There’s no doubt in my mind, that when the times comes to seriously start searching for some new furniture, I will be looking at Vincent Sheppard to see what best suits my needs.
