Do you have a teen girl in your life that you are struggling to think what to buy? Well here is my Christmas gift guide for teens. These are the real gifts I’m going to be giving my 16-year-old (hopefully she still doesn’t read my blog) so hopefully you can gleam some ideas from me.
Starting off with makeup. My daughter loves makeup, and I’m going to be giving her a small selection this year. She’s made a little wish list, that includes primer and eyeshadow brushes but I also wanted to surprise her too.
So a selection of Odylique makeup was the first thing that I added. They recently topped Ethical Consumer Magazine’s rankings as the best organic makeup range. I opted for mascara, eye and lipliner and lipstick.
Every single item in our natural makeup range is certified organic by the Soil Association and is entirely free from palm oil. We also use Fairtrade ingredients whenever possible. Our organic mineral makeup is suitable for all skin types and of course, very sensitive skin.
My favourite items are the Organic Eye/Lip Liner – Brown at £12.50. Moisturising and conditioning with vitamin-rich 100% organic plant oils, butters, fruit and flower extracts. As well as the Organic Mineral Lipstick – #12 Raspberry Coulis £18.00, a gorgeous rich shade, I’m sure she’ll love.
Is your teen, like mine obsessed by things that are yellow? Whenever I go online I see clothing, shoes and even yellow makeup, it seems to be everyhwere at the moment. My daughter needs a new tablet, as her iPad is very old and the screen has broken, so we’ve decided to buy her one of the yellow coloured HD Fire’s. Much more wallet friendly than an iPad, and in actual fact, I think the battery life is so much better. We are just debating whether she needs one of the Show Mode charging docs, which look really cool. Here’s what they do :
- Transform your tablet into an immersive, full-screen Alexa experience optimised for visibility across the room. Just ask Alexa to show trending news, timers and alarms, movie showtimes, weather and more.
- Dock your tablet to automatically switch to Show Mode. Enjoy movies, TV shows, books, apps and games while your tablet is docked-or pick it up to take your entertainment on the go.
Nia has a Saturday job, she got the job herself, didn’t even ask me to ring to arrange an interview. Even on the morning she had the interview, she got herself on the bus and headed out. I’m so proud of her! She really takes new opportunities on with a smile and strives to do be her own person. Working most Saturday’s, and is on her feet from 9-4. I too had a job like this when I was young and can remember just how much my feet ached at the end of the day. So she’s going to be opening a HoMedics Luxury Foot Spa & Nail Kit. which I’m hoping will be the perfect treat. I may just have to use it too!
Something that drives me mad, is not only the amount of razors Nia goes through (they are so expensive!) but also the fact, she never remembers to throw them away. So I’m hoping to have found the solution with my next gift. The Finishing Touch, Flawless Legs.

It’s available from JML Direct, for £59.99, though sometimes they have offers on. I’ve seen some great reviews of this, so I think its going to be perfect.
Also from JML is the Kangoo Hot Bag – Rechargeable, wearable, single-fill hot water bag £39.99. Nia is just like me, and hates to be cold, but also she does get very crampy each month, so I’m sure this is going to be amazing! I’ll let you know how we get on with it, as I think I’m going to buy one for my Dad, who has a terrible bad back too, so it could really benefit from the hot bag.
- Ready in just 10 minutes
- Great for sore joints, aches, pains and cold beds!
- Pre-filled so no more filling from a tap
- Rechargeable and cordless
- Up to 3 hours before it needs reheating
- Maximum temperature of 80° C so it will never overheat
- Adjustable strap for wearing or carrying
New headphones are something that teens love, and we have been looking at both over the ear and ‘in’ ear options for different needs Nia has. I’ll cover the ‘in’ ear ones seperately, but these are the, over the ear ones that we have chosen. For when she’s at home, both for listening to music, and when she’s playing her keyboard. She’s doing a GCSE in music and is so into her music and discovering new bands, so these will really get lots of use.
They are Out There On-Ear Wireless ANC Headphones – priced at £59.99. ANC is said to change the way you listen to headphones forever. The technolgy actively reduces surrounding external noise to make your listening experience much more clearer, deeper and without distraction.
Stocking Filler :
It’s the film of the moment, and if you have a teen that is a music lover, this will make a fantastic stocking filler. Bohemian Rhapsody: The Inside Story is available from www.carltonbooks.co.uk and all good bookshops and online stores. The official book of the Twentieth Century Fox and Queen epic movie Bohemian Rhapsody. The author has interviewed key cast and crew members to reveal how Freddie Mercury and Queen’s incredible story was brought to the big screen. Many of Queen’s pivotal moments were recreated for the film – including Live Aid and other key performances – and are described and shown in this authorized book of the 2018 movie.
So there are my ideas for a teen this Christmas, I really hope it gave you some ideas.
