It’s clean sheet Tuesday, is this something you follow? We do, and it’s the easiest way to remember to change the bedding each week. We all know there nothing nicer than that clean bed linen feeling, especially if they are as gorgeous as these! Today was a complete treat as I’m using some new bedding that was gifted to me by Christy. One of my all-time favourite brands, both to work with and to have in my home.
Not sure if you’ve noticed but I adore pink, it seems to be creeping into lots of rooms. My love started way back when I fell in love with Molly Ringwald in Pretty in Pink. Think a vintage style a little punk music and pale pink vibe, well those were my takeaways of that film, way back in the ’80s. I feel like pink for the last couple of years has returned as my happy colour, and I can’t help but be drawn to it when it comes to my home. I’m ridiculously pale, so can’t really wear pink, so this is the next best thing.
Christy offers lots of different designs, including colourful and patterned, to my favourite which is crisp white with a twist. In this case, that twist is dusky pink velvet. I’ve mixed and matched this look, taking from different parts of the range which is easy to do as I’ve added white and tonal elements of the same colour.
Christy also has a new Living range :
Our Living by Christy range is designed to complement the current Christy range of bed linen, incorporating traditional influences with dynamic and fresh designs. It is a modern twist on our present collections and focuses on this season’s biggest trends and key colours, creating a bit more vibrancy. Available exclusively online at the official Christy store.
The Look I Went For :
I think the test of really good bed linen is in how it feels when you sleep, and these feel crisp, but not too crisp, smooth and utterly decadent. Another of the ways to tell is how they wash. Now I’m sure I’m not alone in that I wash bedding before I use it, and these washed like a dream, I dried half of them on the line and the other half in the drier and both only needed a shake and a light iron before they went on the bed. There is something so fab about Christy’s sateen covers, I’m not sure why, but they iron so easily. I think after 46 years, I’ll never go back to any other kind of cotton sheet.
Honestly, I’m just so chuffed with how it looks and feels!
I think it really compliments my bed frame too.
My next post which will be about my home, I’ll be sharing with you a little freshen up of my en-suite, where I’ll be also working with Christy on again, this time in coral pink!
