This weeks I Love Mondays post, has a very international flavour. As I know that some of my readers live in the USA, I thought I would show you an on-line store from there – the good news is, they do ship internationally too. Uncommon goods has many hand crafted and unique items to tempt you with. It has a strong ethical ethos. Here is what the Uncommon Goods guys say:
We make it our mission to support and provide a platform for artists and designers; in fact, half of what we sell is made by hand. Most of the products we carry are created right here in the USA, and about one-third of our entire collection incorporates recycled and/or upcycled materials. At the core of our company is a great respect for the integrity of the creative individual and the belief that it is our responsibility to use our business to impact the world in a positive way.
I wanted to show you three of my favourite pieces today, to give you a flavour of what’s available. Hot right now are multi coloured stacking bracelets, and these I thought were a great casual version. I love this trend, and wearing something with so many colours really does work with lots of outfits, especially in summer. Priced at around £25 and made by Lis Giròn, there are 7 bracelets to stack on your arm. Or how about this as a wedding or anniversary gift. Designed and made in the USA, the framed prints can be personalised with names and dates, a really lovely gift to receive. Finally, I am always on the look out for door mats, I seem to have a bit of thing for unusual ones. I love this mix tape one, this example even has a favourite band of mine of it. You can personalise it with any family name, so cool! Which is your favourite?
