I am willing the warmer weather to come. I’m dreaming of sunshine and spring and summer fashion. It’s not just the beautiful colours or the new styles available if I’m honest, though I love those too! It’s the ability to leave the house without a multitude of layers, there is something so freeing about the warmer months and clothing.
Dressing for an occasion in the warmer weather can be tricky. I thought I would put two looks together from my favourite clothing stores. Both classic looks, with a nod to the upcoming trends, that I think would be suitable for women of any age.
I choose the black dress, as it was simple and understated, with a short sleeve, it works well if like me, you like to cover your upper arms. Monochrome is going to be everywhere this coming season, and I think the belt I added, gives an interesting variation on this trend. The black Planet dress has such a flattering silhouette, and would work really well with this clutch bag and heels.
My second choice gently subtly echos the looks from Valentino, Chloé and Louis Vuitton for S/S 2015 who choose the trend of delicate fabrics and used their transparency within their clothing design. I added the necklace and head band as I think the beaded details works well with the pale lemon, a perfect outfit for a wedding or summer party.

So to celebrate the soon to be warmer weather here I am wearing a more casual look than the ones I highlighted above. A dress and cardigan from Windsmoor and Planet, make a great every day outfit, and can both be worn separately.
The black Maxi Jersey style dress – £89 and a lace fronted black cardigan with 3/4 sleeves 9 £69. I really do love them both, the fit is great, and the detailing on the cardigan is beautiful.
So what do you think, are you ready for the new season?
