The quest is finally over! I have been on the hunt for chair to match my desk for so long now. Working from home has meant that I need the environment that I work in, to be creative, and full of things that I love, so that they inspire me. Along with magazines and books, I have my camera notebooks and gadgets all close to hand, on a console. It took me so long to find a desk that worked, that I am ashamed to say I didn’t really give the chair a second thought. Well the hunt was on, and this is the third chair I have tried, and its finally hit the jackpot!
Have you heard of Achica? It’s a home and lifestyle store. New carefully curated collections are added on items such as furniture, fashion and homewares for you peruse. It’s members only, so in order to view them you need to add your email address to their database. Really simple to do, and opens up a world of different and gorgeous things to buy, trust me you won’t regret it!
I was asked if I would like to choose something from one of their collections, and so I thought what better challenge that to find me my ultimate blogging chair.
With clean curved lines of the wood which are the perfect match to my desk, to the cream cushioned seat and back rest, I really couldn’t believe my luck when I spotted this Rocco chair. You know when you see something and you think, yep that’s completely me. That’s exactly what I thought, it was retro but also modern in its interpretation, I love it! I think that’s the key with Achica, they really do cater for lots of different tastes, you need to to delve in and have a search!
It’s the first ‘proper’ office chair I’ve had, and I can’t tell you how much better it is that I can now roll on the wheels to my storage console, and then back to my desk, makes life so much easier. As does the fact I can make the seat higher and lower. The desk opening for my legs is actually fairly low, so its much more comfortable now to use. I may have also tested out the very important spinning function of the chair. Who says I can’t have a little fun whilst I’m working!
With Achica you are given an email with an estimated delivery date, I think mine was in around 2-3 weeks time from ordering. It actually arrived (I received and email and text message to say it was on its way) within 5 days, so the timing was really quick. It’s also important to note, that it was well packaged, and easy to assemble. I did it myself in 5 mins, and I am not a confident DIY’er!
Unfortunately I got the last chair ( so you won’t be able to buy one) they often only have a few pieces of each design, but that makes it feel even more select and special I think. You do seem to be able to get a bargain too. I paid £129 for my chair and the RRP was £319!
So I can definitely recommend Achica, if you are looking for something a little interesting or unusual as some of their pieces I definitely have seen elsewhere, including my gorgeous chair!
Thank you to Achica for letting me try out the ordering service, I am impressed. Hold onto your hats though, I’ll be back!

Oh wow, that is the most perfect chair for your lovely desk. I must check out Achica – I’m after some dining chairs at the moment.
Love how Bennett is guarding your chair 🙂

I could actually cry M. I wrote this post with a navy linen top on, it was brand new. When I finished the post I looked around, and the dye from my stupid top and transferred onto the chair.

I don’t believe it, what bad luck! Maybe that’s what Bennett was trying to warn you of. Maybe try some ammonia diluted with water? Good luck.

I really need a new chair and love the look of this one. Will have a look on there for one similar.
