I love trying new beauty products, I wrote this post last year, on my summer hair and beauty must haves, which was really popular. I just thought I would share with you some of the new things I’ve been giving a try. All from different brands, they are 4 great summer finds that I will definitely be popping into my suitcase this summer.
Starting with :
1. Balance Me : Radiance Facial Oil.
I’ve never been big on facial oils, I think it was a case of tried once, it didn’t suit me, so I’ve never tried again. Well recently I have really gotten into them. I’ve even been using an oil to cleanse my face, and I’m loving the results.
This product is from the extra care range, and is priced at £30, which is well priced for a 30ml facial oil of this quality. You put a couple of drops into the balm of your hands, and using the warmth of rubbing your hands together, to activate it. You then distribute it across your face, neck and décolletage. I’ve been using it for a couple of weeks night and day, and I love the smell and feel of the product on my skin. My skin is most definitely smoother, and I even think a little plumper too!
It’s designed to improve the skin’s natural lustre and restore its radiance, you need to add it before your moisturiser, for an extra layer of hydration. I love it, I had no reaction to it, it was easy to use, and I’ve quickly got used to the extra step in my routine.
Ingredients:
Prunus amygdalus dulcis (sweet almond) oil, Vitis vinifera (grape seed) oil, Aleurites moluccana (kukui) nut oil, Simmondsia chinensis (jojoba) oil, Rosa canina (rosehip) fruit oil, Mauritia flexuosa (buriti) oil, Moringa oleifera (moringa) seed oil, Camellia oleifera (camellia) oil, Tocopherol (vitamin E), Anthemis nobilis (Roman chamomile)*, Styrax benzoin (benzoin), Achillea millefolium (yarrow)*, Rosmarinus officinalis (rosemary) extract, Limonene**, Linalool**, Geraniol**, Citronellol**
2. Color WOW : Pop and Lock Shellac
With dyed blonde hair, I am forever looking for ways to make my hair shine, I have used lots of different things over the last few years. One thing I haven’t really considered is trying to keep the colour of my hair fresh and bright, but this 55ml tube boasts to do just that. Its £14, and works like a combination of a serum and an oil. There is UV filter for anti fade, making it perfect for a summer holiday, or indeed anytime. My hair needs help (and I know I’m not alone, especially at this time of year) a combination of it being coloured and me wanting to straighten it, makes it feel coarse, especially at the back of my head. I recently shared about how when I wake up, my hair was like a newly created birds nest every morning. I know really attractive, huh! Having switched to a silk pillowcase, and using products like Color WOW Pop and Lock, I seem to have it under control.
3. Lanolips Lip Ointment with colour SPF15
I know I’ve blogged before about my love of Lanolips, I always have one in my purse or satchel I just think they are a great combination of colour and conditioning for your lips. This one is Rhubarb which is one of favourite colours. If you haven’t tried them yet, you are seriously missing out, they win so many awards. You can buy a lip ointment with colour for around £8-9 in places like Boots, Waitrose, or if you are lucky enough to live near a Wholefoods, there too.
4. Sewlomax SOS Kit (Mini £15)
I bet you’ve been wondering what the devil is in that silver bag, well virtually everything you might need if you have a little emergency that’s what!
Here is what that tiny ( H5cm x W7.5cm x D5cm) bag has inside it :
Lip balm, Hair clips, hair tie, LA Fresh nail polish removal sachet, hand wipe sachet, tampon, mending kit, safety-pin, pair of earring backs and a plaster.
Pop it into your flight bag or handbag, it weighs hardly anything and you can forget about it until…you realise you need to get rid of that green nail varnish you had on over the weekend, you loose a button or your new shoes are rubbing. This little SOS kit, is actual genius. Emma Lomax to the rescue!
Have you tried anything new that you’d like to share, or tried any of these, I’d love to know?
