Have you heard of FG4? It’s the latest fashion brand from George Davies. It was launched in 2011 and after international success FG4 has now launched in the UK. I met George at an event a couple of years ago. He’s an inspirational man, with a no-nonsense approach. I found the way he communicated about business, to be so refreshing. I sat and listened to him, as he talked about the founding of Next, George at Asda and Per Una at Marks and Spencer and not once did he use jargon, just business nowse, brilliant ideas and common sense.
So I was tasked (with the help of a £100) to buy a new winter wardrobe for my youngest daughter on the FG4 site. The website is very simple to navigate, and the collection is relatively small, categorised into product type, age and price. Sometimes when you are buying clothes online, the breadth of choices is overwhelming, not so on FG4. I found it easy to choose pieces that could be worn together, so that I could create a capsule winter wardrobe. As I made a choice, other suggestions appeared underneath as ‘related products’.
Once ordered the items arrived promptly, in approximately 4 days, individually wrapped. I will go over the pieces we received, but I wanted to talk a little about the quality of the garments, as I was genuinely surprised how well made they were. The fabrics used are great quality, and there was lots of little details and touches, that made them far better than most.
Serena Knitted Jumper – £21 //Aztec Lace Layer Skirt – £15.00
The jumper is navy, with a beaded collar, and lace inserts to each side. Its beautifully made and super soft to the touch, as is the lace skirt. I’m sure Miss A isn’t unusual in that she is really picky and refuses to wear things if the are uncomfortable or itchy in any way. The waist band was really stretchy, and soft too. It little details like this, that means you really do get lots of wear out of clothing I think with children.
Jessica Bell Sleeve £19//Aztec Lace Layer Skirt – £15.00
Next up, we tried the same skirt with a white boho style top. It had beautiful embroidery to the front and cotton lace to the bell sleeves.
Arabella Blanket – £19.00//Jessica Bell Sleeve £19//Aztec Lace Layer Skirt – £15.00
We love this hooded blanket jacket in purple and green. Perfect for when it getting a little chillier. It has a simple hook and eye at the front, so she can just pull it on easily.
Andrea Dress – £19.00
Finally, we went for a simple jersey black dress with a subtle bronze glitter effect and embellished neck line. We just need buy her some new tights and I think she’s all set.
With thanks to FG4, we love this collection!

What a lovely model you’ve got. Can’t believe you got all those outfits for under £100, and they look fab. Especially like the last dress, Miss A looks very sophisticated.
