You know how much I love virtual shopping for my home. This week I have been considering how to celebrate interior trends through art whilst getting my virtual shopping kick. Two birds with one stone hey!
I have been browsing the gorgeous selection of prints at King and McGaw.
Oh the variety is huge and it was so hard to narrow down the ones I loved the most. Art and interior design go hand in hand and art can be an inexpensive and easy way to embrace current trends without huge amounts of decorating! You don’t even need DIY skills now-a-days, as I’ve found out recently with some Velcro sticky pads I’ve been trying out.
This botancial sketchbook print really ties in well with the continuing trend in interiors for house plants and it’s rustic and weathered appeal would look wonderful in a conservatory.
In complete contrast, the modern and stark simplicity of this Cyclamen print is just beautiful and such a restful piece of art.
I think this would work well in a minimal and contemporary lounge or bedroom.
The colours that really are everywhere this seasons are hues of pink and blue and gold and I think working them into your art is a lovely way to slowly introduce them into your home. This Andy Warhol Sunset from 1972 could not be more current in terms of colour if it was painted today!
Isn’t it beautiful and so untypical of Andy Warhol. A restful painting – one for the bedroom perhaps?
This Star art print from Erin Rafferty really works the geometric and monochrome trends that continue to inspire interiors and would be lovely in my hallway, where would you place it?
I could go on and on!
