Avantgarde iSensoric Washing Machine by Siemens 9KG load – £1249 available at John Lewis//Towels Christys – various prices depending on size and design
My initial thoughts :
When it comes to doing the laundry, I’m quite choosy, there are lots of factors I consider when it come to choosing a new washing machine. I’m looking for something that is efficient, gives me the ability to be eco-friendly, and wash things much quicker if I need to. I want something that is reliable, to have the latest laundry technology, and to look good. In this post I wanted to go over my initial thoughts since I started using the brand new Siemans avantgarde iSensoric washing machine over the past week.
The Look
The first thing you notice when you see the avantgarde washing machine is the large LED panel that runs across the top of the unit. This gives the washing machine a more contemporary look. It also makes it very simple when you are choosing a washing programme. For example when you choose a cotton wash, with one simple touch, I can then either hit start, or change the spin, temperature, whether it needs a prewash or should be a quick wash, with all of the many options lit for you to decide on. This I found really intuitive to get to grips with.
The LED panel also angled, so you shouldn’t have to lean down to work the machine. I also thought the door was very easy to open, but the handle neater than most washing machines. It has a chrome and black styled 130° opening door, so easy to put washing in and out. I also noted that the drum lights up really well inside, so you are less likely to leave that rogue sock in there.
Large touch-LED-display control panel options
- Programme status indication
- Temperature selection
- Max. spin speed
- Remaining time
- 24 hour end time delay
- Load recommendation
- Child lock
To fit was very easy, it was a standard size and design so my husband did so . It’s overall a very simple and modern design, that is easy to keep clean as it has no nooks and crannies.
In my next post, I am going to look at some of the features I liked the most whilst using the machine, I will also review the iSensoric technology, which automatically tailors each wash to provide the best care and performance via patented sensors that interact with each other to calculate how much detergent, water and energy to use. The technology also calibrates the machine, balancing out water pockets inside the drum to protect fabrics.
So if you are looking to purchase a new washing machine watch this space for more information.

It’s so important to get the right model when you have tons of washing to do for the family. This one looks very swish.
