Are you ready? Today’s gift guide is dedicated to all those people looking to buy things for that sophisticated teen. They may already have the Kylie Jenner lip kit, but you are looking for some items that are a little bit different, but play to their love of music and beauty. This is perfectly suited to my teen, so I hope it helps you too!
A personalised bag – £19 From Squiffy Print, isn’t this a gorgeous pouch? I’ve shown it here as a make-up bag, but its big enough to be used for lots of things, anything to help them keep tidy right? It’s personalised in a hand pressed sparkly print, with a word of your choice. There is also an option to have a two-worded secret message hand pressed on the inside, we went for LOVE YOU. The pouch is available in black or natural (cream) hand pressed with either silver or gold sparkly print.
Bagsy : One of my favourite makeup brands, the packaging is so darn pretty, and I love that they have a small but very well put together range available. Perfect for a teen I think, though I use the products too, if you fancy trying something new.
- WOW Wand : £18 A two-in-one creamy highlighting and concealing pencil – wonder by name, wonder by nature. Half of the wand masks blemishes and under-eye shadows with a concealing shade, while the other illuminates with subtle sheen.
- Compact Mirror : £12 Can you see the blue in the center of the image above. One half is magnified, making it perfect for touch ups on the go.
- Lip Velvet : £12 This is a matte liquid lip colour looks and it doesn’t feel dry like other matts, it feels like velvet.
- Pretty Cheeks : £16 I think cream blush is far more youthful than powder. This one is so easy to apply and blend.
- Ray of Sunshine : £18 In rain or shine, I think a sweep of bronzer if good to give you a glow. This one has a matt finish, and helps you look effortlessly healthy.
Try out T-Sonic™ cleansing – £43 This is the perfect introduction to the LUNA range. You can read more about what a LUNA, is HERE. What’s T-Sonic? Well the pulsations remove 99.5% of dirt and oil, as well as makeup residue and dead skin cells, improving the absorption of your favourite skin care products. This is the smallest of the range, and works for up to 100 uses, and isn’t rechargeable. Also included in the set is a day and night cleanser (15ml) also by Foreo. Having used a LUNA for a year now, I can’t recommend them enough, its my secret weapon that I keep in shower and bring away with my on holiday. So this seems like the perfect gift to give to my teen. Good skin care habits are essential!
Make-up brushes – These oval toothbrush style brushes are amazing. I first heard of them when I started watching Trinny Woodhall on Facebook live, she has a Space NK set, that are £2-300 for a similar amount of brushes. This is a more budget friendly version I picked up on Amazon for around £30. Trinny says they are just as good as the expensive set, so I thought they would be worth a try. They look and feel amazing, very thick but super soft. Apparently this style give a more natural blended look. I swear all of these gifts, I’d love myself.
Another gift set now, but this one is from Elemental Herbology and costs £19. I think skin care is something that you should encourage your teen to use. This set contains two of the best-selling products from the Radiance & Vitality collection.
Rose gold headphones, they look so gorgeous don’t they? These Urbanista combine Scandinavian design with a practical folding function making the headphones extremely portable. They are adjustable, with memory foam cushions for the ears. They even have a built-in microphone for mobile calls and a sharing sound plug so you can share your favourite tunes with your friends. Something any teen would love. This Urbanista Seattle style is available in four colours – rose gold, white, black and blue.
Stocking fillers :
You can’t beat lip balms can you? So I’ve picked a couple of Lanolips ones, which for me are the leading brand when it comes to lip treatments. I went for the award-winning Lemonaid and a tinted one too. They cost around £8.99 and are well worth that amount, that are effective, and last a long time.
This Yardley body spray also makes a great stocking filler, if you’ve trained your teen to wash, now’s when to tackle the smell. I like body sprays as an alternative to perfume for teens.
and finally….
Wii, The Voice – We are obsessed by The Voice in our house, as well as being fiercely competitive when it comes to singing, so this really the perfect gift. I also thought it would be fun for the teen to play with her friends too.
You can buy it with or without a microphone (with costs £44.99) and can you can get it in various formats. Set to be a great one for the Christmas holidays when friends and family are around I think, plus the new season will be starting soon. I am baggsying anything by Boy George or Lily Allen though!
Just in case you missed it, here is the Male Gift Guide, I wrote earlier in the week. Next week, I will be sharing a 7-year-old gift guide, so stay tuned for that.
