Now firstly I should apologise for the state of Bennett in these photos. If you follow me on Instagram you’ll know we’ve had a few MANY plumbing issues, and after trying to bathe him in the sink (never EVER again) has been a total nightmare. His hair appointment, which is tomorrow couldn’t come quickly enough. My husband last night fixed the last of the problems, which I would describe as being like some sort of bizarre Russian Doll of plumping, the more he digged around, the more issues he found. They honestly felt infinite. Poor Bennett, I swear he was saying with his eyes in these images ‘are you seriously taking my photo looking like this!’. So Bennett yup, I am, but I promise to put a photo of you with your normal hair tomorrow. The reason for showing you a dishevelled version of our pooch is to share this fab new dog bed with you from Raised by Humans that we have been reviewing for the last week.
This designer dog bed is the metric design. A flat-bed with a black/charcoal panel and a colourful chevron design on the top. It feels like its going to last, and seems really well made. Bennett doesn’t really chew things, but I can imagine it would be hard to. The base of the bed has a non slip material, which is perfect for our wooden floors.
Bennett already has a bed that we keep in the kitchen, it’s the enclosed type which works well for in there, but we needed something that was more suitable for the living room, and this mattress style is actually perfect for that. I’m trying to discourage him to jump up on the sofa, and this seems to be a winner to help with that. I can also move it around depending on where the sun is. All dogs love to chase the sun don’t they. It’s also great for in front of the fire on winters evenings.
Here are the features of the bed in more detail :
- bold and beautiful contemporary multi-coloured chevron design
- Fully removable and machine washable cover with dog-proof zipper and stitching
- High-durability non-slip base suitable for all indoor surfaces
- Super soft sleep-inducing pillow insert made from high-quality crumb foam
It come in a couple of different sizes, we went for the medium size – 85 x 65cm, which is £55. They don’t do a smaller size in this design, but if they did, I think that would have been big enough to be honest. Overall we love the bed, now we just need to continue with the training to make sure he uses it.

Oh he looks cute with his curly coat! Nice dog bed too, my dog loves the cushion ones like this and enjoys curling up on it in a little ball!
