I’m not sure I’ve actually mentioned this on the blog before. However if you know me in real life, I will have bored you about this many, MANY times. I am obsessed with reducing nasty chemicals from around my home. I have been for the last few years, and its meant that I am really picky about the type of cleaning products I use day-to-day. I wrote yesterday about some amazing organic beauty products I’ve been trying. Well, this week I’ve been doing my half term cleaning and I’ve been testing out some new products from the British clean living brand KINN LIVING. A mother and daughter business – who offer design led organic home and body products for you – www.kinn-living.com
“Because if we’re looking after what we put on our skin, why shouldn’t we look after what we put in our homes too? That’s why we make certified organic skincare and eco-friendly home cleaning products.”
– Marie Lavabre & Sophie Lavabre-Barrow, founders of KINN
EMBRACE CLEAN LIVING WITH KINN LIVING – design led urban organic range for today’s clean living values – really great clean and modern packaging, you wouldn’t be worried about this being out on your worktop.
The products have been made using recipes passed on from Marie’s California based uncle, who was a pioneer in formulating aromatherapy blends. Amazing blends of core essential oils such as Ylang Ylang, Lavender and Tangerine. KINN provides luxurious certified organic skincare for you, your family and your home.
I’ve been testing out the kitchen cleaner, bathroom and the floor wash. All products that I buy and use on a regular basis.
ECO FRIENDLY LAVENDER & ROSEMARY KITCHEN CLEANER– £4.25 500ml.
- Smells amazing, and worked brilliantly on my granite worktops. I struggle with streaks because my worktops are so mirror glass shiny, and this worked a treat with no smears.
- I love the smell of lavender, but I know some people don’t, so you need to be aware this smells for quite a long time afterwards…impressive!
- UK made.
- Plant-based ingredients, organic essential oils and no harsh chemicals.
- I tend to wipe down all of my surfaces in the bathroom every 2/3 days. This worked well on residue of old water staining on the bathscreen and toothpaste marks in the main bathroom.
- I spray, tidy up whilst leaving the spray on the surface for a couple of minutes before I wipe and it worked really well to remove any marks.
- UK made.
- KINN eco bathroom cleaner is free from petrochemicals, phosphates, enzymes, synthetic fragrance and animal by-product, harsh chemicals, dye. It has a neutral ph and is not tested on animals.
ECO FRIENDLY LAVENDER FLOOR WASH -£5.00 500ml
- In the past I’ve used floor washes that are more eco-friendly and not had very good results. This worked so much better. You do need to use two capfuls according to the instructions and I’d say that was perfect for 1-2 floors or rooms.
- KINN eco-friendly floor wash has a natural ph and is safe to use on all floors. I tried it on LVT, tile and wooden.
- Smells really lovely of lavender, not too strong.
- UK made.

“Our ethos at KINN is Clean Living and Clean Beauty™, and to us this means making sure that what you put on your skin and use in your home is organic, as non-toxic as possible and is good for you. That doesn’t mean we don’t appreciate the finer things in life too. Clean living is simply a way of being. It’s about balance.”

Very impressive!

I love that people try to use eco friendly products more and more. This is the first time I read about these. How good is the bathroom cleaner when facing limescale? I have hard water in my home so it is quite a challenge.
