We are back!
So sorry for the radio silence over on the blog. We went away for nearly three weeks over summer, and so didn’t get much chance to update on here over that time. Sorry! I’m back though with a Shavata Nottingham Review.
Shavata Nottingham Review
Just before we went away to Florida, Nia and I (can you believe that she is nearly 16…eek) had a little mother daughter time, over at the Shavata space at the Nottingham John Lewis. It’s on the first floor beauty hall, just before you get to the baby/nursery sections of the store. It’s actually quite a large area, which encompasses Eyebrows (of course) lashes, pedicure and manicure stations. Theres also a private area that does waxing. The Shavata team are friendly and approachable, and most importantly very knowledgable. I went for the first time a few months ago, you can read all about it on THIS post. I always make an appointment, but when we were there, lots of walk ins seemed to be seen too.
I was so impressed when I first went, that I brought Nia a few weeks later for a brow tidy up as a treat. It’s slightly more expensive than where we normally go, but the results speak for themselves. In Nia’s words ‘My brows have never looked this good’. Her brows, were not ‘virgin’ ones, she regularly has them threaded anyway. However after going only twice, the Shavata team have got them into an amazing shape, that she loves. Far better than they have ever been, and that has meant that they are thicker with a better arch and the tail end is longer. I’m digressing a little, but I wanted to make sure that I let you know, that even though my last visit was a review, we have been subsequently and paid as we are so impressed.
Ok, so just before we went away to Florida, I had an invite to visit Shavata Nottingham again. I needed to have my brows neatened up, and dyed. I’ve been using my Shavata caster oil, and they really have grown lots. I opted for a eyebrow shape – £18 and eyebrow tint -£14. My brows are so much better, still too thin, in my opinion, but they are looking very different now, much better.
I took so many photographs, but unfortunately I can’t recover those images from my memory card (I could have cried whan I realised this had happened) but I promise to take more the next time we visit.
Nia had a pedicure and manicure, in fresh summer colours. She opted for the classic manicure and pedicure which includes a file, soak, cuticle, nip and buff, hand massage and paint at £36 each. Her toes in a pale blue, and nails in yellow, with each of her ring fingers in the same blue as her toes. All the products were great quality – OPI nail lacquer. I think each of the treatments took a little over 40 mins, a little longer for her pedicure. Now Nia’s Shavata expert was so lovely. She actually did an eyelash curl for me earlier in the year. She chatted to us and explained everything that she was doing, she really made Nia feel welcome. She’s never had a pedicure and is incredibly ticklish on her feet so had been dreading it a little. She ended up loving both of the treatments, and was literally bouncing as she left, as she was now holiday ready. Her hands looked beautiful (you can see them a little in the above image) and were a great shape and colour. The pedicure left her feeling great, as they used an exfoliant and moisteriser, that made a huge difference to any dry skin that she had. Perfect for those sliders that she’s never out of on holiday.
So overall, another amazing experience, thanks to Shavata Brow Studio, we really do appreciate you inviting us.
