Happy International Womens Day!
I know this is late, but I do have an excuse…well it’s a very poor one. February came and went in such a flash, I feel like I’ve only just caught my breath! February was a strange month overall, I seemed always on the back foot and not able to really put the plans and promises I made to myself at the beginning of the year into much action. It will definitely go better in March (well because this is late, I already know it is!) and I promise to share how I’m going on my goals more promptly!
Here are the links to both of the posts that I have written so far :

Life Lately January
So how did I get on in February :
I read another book! Chuffed to pieces, that I am keeping up with my promise to have read 12 books by the end of the year. Two so far, so bang on target. I read a great thriller this month- Sleep Tight by Rachel Abbot. I’d finished it in a couple of days, well evenings really of reading. This month I’m about to start a new book called Girl Most Likely. It’s a prerelease kindle book, that I can get for free with Amazon Prime. I don’t think I’ve ever read a prerelease book this way before, and they offer 6 new ones every month, so if you have Amazon Prime, its worth looking out for.
I reduced my wardrobe by another 5 items. I wasn’t going to do any more purging in winter, but I felt like a few of my older things were really looking tired, so I took the opportunity to reduce my wardrobe. Bad news is, my Mum filled it again by giving me 5 sales bargains she found for me.
In all honesty, if I don’t get rid of some shoes, then I may hand over the responsibility to someone else (maybe my eldest) to make the choices for me. I don’t know why I have a problem getting rid of shoes. Maybe because I don’t really have that many, but too many really for the space I have. I must send some off to charity!
Food. We are definitely spending less, which is great. I’ve tried some new recipes too, so overall I am feeling good about my february meal focus. Lets not say the dreaded meal planning phrase though!
Having time to myself has been more productive in February, as I have been learning some new skills. I’m now the proud owner of a Cricut Maker Machine. I’m going to be sharing lots about it next week, as I have been busy crafting away for a couple of weeks. I also took myself off into town (Nottingham) becasue I wanted to do some research, buy some crafting ‘blanks’ and get some inspiration. I headed to a few different places Tiger, Søstrene Grene and the Card Factory which are three of my favourites. It’s been so long since I went into town on my own, and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Skin Care. The good news is that I have both used up a few samples and products in February. So far this year, I havent bought one new thing! Absolutely no new products, the only thing I’ve bought is shampoo, and thats becasue I had completely ran out. I think being more considered with makeup and skin care is a big tick for me.
I’m not going to mention here what failures I have had, because I’m trying to keep positive, and not focus on those this month. I’ve had a few ups and down in the past few weeks that have knocked my confidence, both in myself and other people. Looking forward to March, and telling you more about my crafting projects.
