Aqua Ears : Review

Aqua Ears

We were sent 2 packs of Aqua Ears by Cirrus Health Care, and some Ear Planes ear plugs to test out on the blog.  We are going to save the Ear Planes, for the next time we are on a plane.  But we have been trying the new Aqua Ears – due to be launched in Boots in June, for the last couple of weeks.

Miss N (10) especially, has always had problems with her ears being in water, so much so we had to cancel her swimming lessons. She gets something called swimmers ear, and her ears have a problem draining the water away, and the ear infections that she gets can be very painful.  We even have to be careful when she has a bath or shower.  So this is why I really wanted to test the Aqua Ears as we really want to use the swimming pool as well whilst we are on holiday in the summer.

Well they have been fantastic, very easy to insert, and they didn’t hurt or fall out, so the ear area remained dry.  You can also use them to reduce noise, so great if you are off to a festival this summer!  Here is a little about the technology…

Aqua Ears use the same technology as BioEars™, which is one of the best selling products from the world’s leading innovators in ear care, Cirrus Healthcare. BioEars™ are the only earplugs which use ACTIValoe™ a powerful anti-microbial agent, which keeps the earplugs free from the bacteria that can lead to degradation in ordinary earplugs, thus ensuring that the ear canal remains fully protected. The earplugs are easily moulded to the shape of your ear providing a comfortable airtight seal, resulting in your ears being protected from water penetration and harsh noise.

They come in lots of designs, so you will definitely be able to please all ages. They are priced at £4.99 for three pairs and come in a waterproof carry case.  Make sure you check out the range in larger boots stores from June.

Colour Wow! : Review

Colour Wow! : Review

| April 29, 2013 | 2 Comments

I am really very excited to be reviewing the Colour Wow range.  Its due to be stocked in Space NK in July, and really has a fantastic reputation in coloured hair care and maintenance.

Colour Wow : Background

Developed by the beauty innovator Gail Federici and the internationally acclaimed hairdresser John Frieda. Now I am, and will always be a user a Frizz Ease (my top hair product) and it is the same team around John Frieda that has developed this range.  You can now see why I am so excited to try the products.

I was sent the ground breaking Root Cover Up and the Colour Security Shampoo and Conditioner.

Colour Security Shampoo is a non-sulfate formula which cleanses without causing color to fade.  Unlike typical sulfate-free shampoos, Color Security produces a rich, creamy lather. The Conditioner, also uses a very special formula, that conditions and detangles without dulling, and darkening your blonde hair. I loved both of these, I am actually due to have another colour on my hair, so I think I’m going to save the rest of the bottle, to use on freshly coloured hair, and see if this improves the longevity of my colour.

The root cover up (£28.50) comes in a very swish palate form, and is a way in which you can hide, or retouch up your roots.  As someone who has highlights on my hair, I really wanted to try this out, as it really is annoying especially if you have something special to do, and you realise you should really have had your roots done weeks before – please tell me I’m not alone on this.

Here is a video to see the product in action :

Apply to dry hair

  • Camouflage roots instantly
  • Colour hair less often
  • Fast & easy; No mess
  • Perfect results in under a minute
  • Water-resistant
  • Lasts from shampoo to shampoo
  •  Available in 4 versatile shades
  • Professional formula
  • 60 Application kit

I have tried it a few times now, on the very front of my hair, as for some reason my hair grows quicker (and is greyer) there, and it really worked a treat. You do have to almost press the powder in, I think its important to note that. Its great for those hair emergencies!

Colour WOW, is available online at www.colourwowhair.com, QVC, victoriahealth.com and from July Space NK.

We have had so much fun with Master Moves Mickey Mouse over the last couple of weeks.  Miss A has taken it on a sleepover, and to her grandparents house.  It is a complete hit!

Known as M3, Master Moves Mickey has 15 dance moves and 8 original songs ans interactive dance moves. He had us all up and dancing along

I was not asked to review it, but we love it so much, we wanted to share with you a short video we made of Miss A dancing with Master Moves Mickey Mouse.

I think this is going to be a fantastic introduction for our family, as we are going to Disney (Orlando) in the summer together.  Especially as this will be Miss A’s (3) first trip to Disney.  Hopefully this will get her used to all the characters in real life.  Also its a great treat for Miss N (9) who has worked so hard this year at school.

If your children are Disney mad like ours are, then make sure you book early as tickets are selling fast!

A huge thank you to Disney, we shall report back with our thoughts on the show.

Thank you for reading
