I was given the chance to review a lamp by Out There Interiors, so I decided to choose an area in my home, that needed a little TLC to show it off.
The hallway of our house, is like most homes a real thoroughfare of a room. It gets dusty and untidy quickly, and the cabinet sometimes get used as a bit of dumping ground. The lamp that we did have, I really didn’t like any more, but it still works, so we are moving it to a different room.
I’m was so pleased with the clear designer style lamp that was delivered, brilliantly packaged. The Out There Interiors site has so many things available on it, it specialises in unique, interesting and colourful. The items include some striking mirrored furniture, French shabby chic and some fabulous mid-century furniture, that I absolutely love.
I wanted to go for a vintage, and hopefully pretty look, to go with the lamp. So I gathered items from around the house. Including some pomanders that I have written about before, and tea-cup candles that I had made.
I added a vase of flowers from the garden to complete the look. I think it has a summer and pretty feel to it now.
I love the look that the reproduction Kartell’s Bourgie Table Lamp. It is made of clear perspex and the shade has a lovely rippled effect, which refracts the light in the evening. It is a good size at 51cm, my other lamp always looked lost on the sideboard. It is priced at £110.00, which I realise is more of an investment piece, but this really is very well made, and a design classic. The whole feel of my hallway is more inviting now, even in the evenings.
Do you have an area that is neglected and in need of a revamp in your home?

Really interesting design (the lamp) and I love your collection and arrangement alongside it. Nice to see your pomanders again and be reminded (with a chuckle) of Liz and her plaster-encrusted haul 😉
My hallway is teency, so not much overhauling can be done, but it is already full of shoes!

Ooh I love the lamp, I’d have been tempted to buy quite a few and have them all around the house, but that’s probably because I have a problem when it comes to impulse buying. Love that your hallway is wide enough to have such a gorgeous side table. Our house has such a narrow hallway that even coats on the pegs seem to make it feel narrow lol!

I have a very long row of glass candlestick, that I have been collecting, so I know exactly what you mean. Problem with buying too much…me? Nah! 😉
